Federica established herself on the international scene at the World Championships in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, where she won the silver medal in the giant slalom. It was a historic achievement, which consecrated her among the best in the world.
At the PyeongChang Winter Olympics, Federica won her first Olympic medal, a bronze in the giant slalom. The following year she was among the winners of the Fair Play Menarini International Award. She made history in 2020 by winning the overall World Cup – the first Italian woman to do so – as well as the giant slalom and combined World Cups.
At the Beijing Winter Olympics, Federica won the silver medal in the giant slalom. That same year, she also triumphed in the Super-G World Cup, proving she could compete at the highest levels in all alpine skiing disciplines.
On the slopes of Sun Valley, she won her second overall title, as well as the World Cup in downhill and giant slalom. The season, however, ended with a serious injury. The “tiger” from La Salle did not lose heart and – after months of rehabilitation – announced her return to competition at the end of the year, in time to compete in the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics.
