Nicola’s Foundation Special Award
Michele Gemignani speaks English, but with a soft accent of the Versilia. It is precisely in Viareggio, where he divides his time between football and hockey, where he begins his career, that will then continue in big football clubs like Juventus and Roma, where he is the person in charge of the medical staff. But the great names of the world of football are not the only ones that punctuate his daily professional life and the only ones in the centre of his objective. His profession is a rewarding job but derives from scientific research, which he improves with the collaboration with the biomechanics centre “Let People Move” of Giuliano Cerulli, in Perugia.
He is an Expert Panel Member in Sports Medicine and Physiotherapy at St. George’s University of London. Polite, open-minded and not very talkative, he attributes to fame the value of the price to pay for a high-level activity. But his ultimate end is testing, because the aim that he has is to “let the people move”, let the people walk together with the man, champion in sport or in everyday life.
