A lifelong basketball fan, he started his career as an agent representing several players in the Women’s Serie A league while also writing his first article for the specialist magazine, Superbasket.
He made his television debut on the Telereporter channel, alongside Giudo Bagatta, as commentator for the basketball match between Irge Desio and Allibert Livorno. He pursued his career as a sports commentator on Tele+ and Sky Sport where he teamed up with Flavio Tranquillo to form a legendary duo.
He started his career as a storyteller with the “Federico Buffa racconta” (Federico Buffa narrates) format in which he talks about the lives and achievements of 20th-century sporting greats. He made documentaries and directed programmes about sporting highlights on Sky Sport.
His theatre debut with “Buffa racconta le Olimpiadi del ‘36” (Buffa narrates the 1936 Olympics). Federico Buffa, the writer and actor, continues to captivate audiences with his theatre tours.
