Journalism

2002

After training at the local broadcasting stations of his native Sardinia, and already a wellknown face on Telepiù, he launched ‘Lo sciagurato Egidio’ (Wretched Aegidius) on the small screen, a programme that, together with ‘Profili’ and ‘Italia – Germania 4 a 3’, revolutionised sports narration by seeking points of contact with the world of culture.

2003

With the move to Sky, he joined the new broadcaster as editor-in-chief of Sky Sport, also conducting the pre- and post-match debates on the Serie A and the Champions League.

2010

Without ever giving up his video activities, he made his fight against Edwing’s sarcoma public: he was awarded the ‘Giovanni Maria Pace’ Prize for his contribution to public awareness of apparently incurable diseases.

2016

After the literary journey of ‘Booklovers’, he returned to talk about the great protagonists of European football on Sky Sport in ‘L’uomo della domenica’ (Sunday Men), also bringing sport to Sky Arte in 2021 with the format ‘Sogni di gloria’ (Dreams of Glory).
