Skeet shooting
Daughter of Italian Olympic Trap shooter champion and former athlete on the National team Claudio Perilli, she acquired sports citizenship for the Republic of San Marino, her maternal homeland, debuting with a silver medal win at the Games of the Small States of Europe in Cyprus.
Thanks to two World Cup competitions won in 2011, she earned her first Olympic qualification for the London 2012 Summer Olympic Games in which she finished in fourth position, one step away from the podium.
In full lockdown, her position in the world ranking of women’s trap shooting was made official.
Having landed at the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic Games as flag-bearer for her nation, she became a legend by winning the first Olympic medal in the history of San Marino, a bronze medal in the women’s trap final to which she added a silver medal in the team trap shooting event with Gian Marco Berti.
