Alice BELLANDI

Alice achieved her first success in an international competition by winning a bronze medal at the European Judo Championships – cadets. The following year she joined the Sports Division of the Italian Finance Police (known as the ‘Fiamme Gialle’). In 2018 she won both the World and European junior titles.

In Tokyo Alice took part in her first Olympic Games, placing seventh in the 70-kilo tournament and ninth in the mixed team competition. At the end of the year she moved up to the 78-kilo category, where she will achieve her best results.

She secured her first international medal in senior competitions: a bronze at the European Championships in Sofia. The following year Alice improved further, finishing second at the European Championships in Montpellier and third at the World Championships in Doha.

Alice won a silver at the World Championships in Abu Dhabi and made her second Olympic appearance at the Paris Games, bringing home a coveted gold medal. In June 2025 she took top place on the podium at the Judo World Championships in Budapest.
