Arianna ERRIGO

After numerous triumphs in junior championships, Arianna brings home her first victories in the elite category with two gold medals in the team foil event (the first at the European Championships in Plovdiv, the second at the World Championships in Antalya). At the end of the season, Arianna also won the Specialty World Cup.

At the London Olympic Games, she secured a silver in individual foil and a gold in the team event. Arianna went on to win the World Cup for the second time, while the following year she triumphed at the individual World Fencing Championships in Budapest, a title she was to reconfirm in 2014.

At the European Championships in Toruń, Poland, Arianna took top place on the podium in individual foil, clinching a silver in the team competition too.

After winning gold at the European Championships in Basel, she was chosen as flag-bearer of the Italian delegation at the Paris Olympic Games where she also secured a silver in the team event. Enrolled at the Carabinieri Sports Centre, Arianna is one of the strongest fencers of all time. To date, she has collected a total of 22 World and 22 European medals, as well as 4 Olympic medals and 5 World Cups.
